Clear terms. Clear handling of your information.

Website Terms of Use and Privacy Notice for Sites4Africa. Client and project terms are agreed separately.

Website Terms of Use

Effective 5 September 2026.

1. About this website

This website is operated by Sites4Africa in South Africa. It provides information about our website services, pricing, process, examples and ways to contact us.

By using this website, you agree to these Website Terms of Use.

2. Information on the website

We aim to keep the information on this website clear, accurate and current. Our services, processes and published information may change as the business develops.

Published package pricing applies to the scope described on the website. If a requirement involves an additional third-party cost or falls outside the standard Sites4Africa scope, we will make that clear before you proceed.

3. Enquiries and engaging Sites4Africa

Sending an enquiry, contacting us on WhatsApp or completing GET READY does not by itself create a customer agreement or require either party to proceed.

Before a website is published, the relevant approval, commercial terms and payment requirements are confirmed separately.

4. Using the website

You may use the Sites4Africa website for normal personal or business purposes connected with learning about or engaging our services.

You may not deliberately interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access to its systems, misuse its forms, submit malicious material or use the website in an unlawful way.

5. Our content and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Sites4Africa name, branding, website design, written content and original visual material on this website belong to Sites4Africa or are used with permission.

You may view the website and share links to it, but you may not copy, reproduce or commercially reuse substantial parts of the website or our branding without permission.

Business names, photographs, logos or other third-party material appearing in examples remain subject to the rights of their respective owners where applicable.

6. Example websites and illustrations

Example websites, concepts, images and illustrations are intended to demonstrate the type and range of work Sites4Africa can produce. They should not be taken as representations about a particular real business unless we expressly identify them as such.

7. Third-party services and links

This website may link to or use third-party services such as WhatsApp, social platforms, hosting, forms, file storage or other online services. Those services are operated by their respective providers and may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Sites4Africa is not responsible for the content or operation of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

8. Availability and reasonable care

We take reasonable care in operating the website, but websites and internet services cannot be guaranteed to be available without interruption or error at all times.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit any right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Website Terms of Use when the website, our services or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page together with its effective date.

10. South African law

These Website Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Privacy Notice

Effective 5 September 2026.

1. Who we are

Sites4Africa provides website design and related services in South Africa. For personal information processed through this website and our intake process, Sites4Africa decides why and how that information is used and is generally the responsible party for purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Privacy-related queries or requests can be raised through the normal enquiry form or WhatsApp contact routes shown on this website.

2. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive your name and contact details, business name and business information, enquiry details and messages, information supplied through GET READY, website or domain information, social-profile details, and records of our communications with you.

Where you supply project material, we may also receive logos, photographs, documents, team information, testimonials, service information and other content intended to help us prepare your website.

3. Where the information comes from

Most information is provided directly by you when you submit a form, complete GET READY, upload or send material, or communicate with us through channels such as WhatsApp.

Our website and technology providers may also process ordinary technical information needed to deliver, secure and operate online requests and services.

4. Why we use it, and whether you have to provide it

We use information where reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, understand whether our service fits your requirements, communicate about a potential or active project, prepare and deliver website work you ask us to undertake, administer agreed domain or related services, keep appropriate business records, protect and operate our systems, and meet legal or regulatory obligations where applicable.

Providing information through an enquiry or GET READY is voluntary. However, if you choose not to provide information or material reasonably needed for the enquiry or project, we may not be able to respond fully, assess the requirement or prepare the website effectively.

5. GET READY and uploaded material

GET READY is designed to collect the information and material needed to prepare a website. Material you submit may include business photographs, logos, documents, team information, testimonials and other content intended to help us build the site.

Please submit material that you are entitled to provide to us and that is relevant to the website project.

6. Service providers

We use reputable technology providers to operate parts of the Sites4Africa service. Our current website and intake infrastructure includes Netlify for website hosting and form processing, and Dropbox for secure storage of material supplied through GET READY.

Other service providers may process relevant information where needed for communications, domain administration or the delivery of an agreed service. They may process information only to the extent reasonably required for that purpose.

7. International processing

Some technology providers we use operate internationally. Information may therefore in some circumstances be processed or stored outside South Africa.

Where cross-border processing occurs, we aim to use reputable providers and handle transfers in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

8. Sharing and marketing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not provide enquiry information to unrelated businesses for them to market their products or services to you.

Information may be shared with service providers supporting the Sites4Africa service, where you ask us to do so, or where disclosure is reasonably required by law or to protect legitimate rights.

If Sites4Africa later introduces marketing communications, they will be handled in accordance with applicable law and appropriate opt-out requirements.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for an active or prospective customer relationship, for legitimate business records, or where retention is required by law.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, de-identified or otherwise securely disposed of where appropriate.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process.

11. Cookies and tracking

Sites4Africa aims to keep its websites simple and privacy-conscious. We do not use unnecessary advertising or behavioural tracking technologies on this website.

Where cookies or similar technologies are required for essential website functionality, they are used only for that purpose. If we introduce functionality that involves additional tracking or third-party technologies, we will review and apply the appropriate privacy disclosures and controls.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, request access to information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete, request deletion where there is no lawful reason for continued retention, or object to certain processing.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal or practical limitations in a particular case.

13. Privacy queries and complaints

Privacy-related queries or requests can be submitted through the normal contact routes shown on this website.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa). Current public contact details include toll-free 0800 017 160, telephone 010 023 5200 and POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za for POPIA complaints.
